News Feeds

In order to stream real-time news into our website covering virtually every African topic available, we use news feeds from several organizations. Those organizations, listed below, provide us with RSS (Really Simple Syndication) links which allow us to pull the information directly from their web servers, format and filter what we need, and post them appropriately.

If you wish to use these same RSS XML feeds in a news reader program or on your own website, you may do so freely. You will notice at the bottom of each page, after the last news article, a strip of text that looks like the following:

RSS for these articles

This is the URL link to an XML document published by news sources that we have subscribed to. All we ask, in exchange for using these news feeds, is that you link back to our web site by placing our logo or name somewhere on your website. This will help our ministry as we endeavor to reach out across the world.

Press releases and news from research organisations, the public sector, and environmental organisations are included as well. EarthWire is used by government officials as a briefing on the day's environmental news, journalists following hot issues, students and researchers looking for current information on the state of the environment, and by anyone interested in current events and the environment.
